"Blossoming Concepts in Water Management & Technology"
The 2011 conference focuses on emerging technological and
administrative options that hold the potential to improve how we
manage water resources.
The conference presentation sessions will be held on Friday,
November 18 at the scenic Kapnick Center of Florida Gulf Coast
University located on the grounds of the beautiful Naples Botanical
Garden. A wine & cheese reception will follow the technical sessions
at the Kapnick Center. On Saturday, November 19, conference
attendees are invited on a field trip from the Vester Field Station
into the Imperial River and Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve.
In keeping with the conferences long tradition of bringing forward
experts in the field to provide relevant and timely research and
perspectives on an issue, this year's event will once again be
outstanding. The Conference Host Committee, chaired by Dr. Don Duke
of FGCU, is assembling a renowned group of speakers that should not
disappoint anyone interested in this topic.
The conference will also feature presentations and events organized
by and for AWRA, ASCE, FES, AWWA, CRCA, ASABE. Also helping organize
student participation in the conference is the Florida Gulf Coast
University Student Chapter of AWRA (Lara Collier, Conference Coordinator, FGCU AWRA Student Chapter).
Students are encouraged to attend and will be eligible to win two,
$500 on-the-spot awards to be given during the sessions by random drawing.
